9 x 1” (25mm) Abrasive Grinding Buffing Polishing pads and 3 mm Torx mandrel with Key
Note to buyers: This is a majority British made alternative which uses a re-useable mandrel and only the abrasive mops are replaced:
- Reduces material waste of the chromed shaft and compression washers, which ends up in landfill.
- Less expensive to maintain, I have priced accordingly
- The mandrel actually fits a standard dremel chuck at 3.2 m.
- The mandrel is extended from the chuck giving better access and can also be used for cutting discs and polishing mops.
These pads are a lot safer than the rotary wire brushes which eject hazardous broken micro wires which get everywhere. Please don’t use rotary wire brushes.
Used for brazing surface preparation, jewellery. Rust removal etc etc.
Good for buffing metals and preparing plastics before glueing.
The Torx Mandrel.
I have introduced a higher grade Torx screw and washer improvement:
- Improves torque and therefore Abrasive, disc or pad retention.
- No cam out with a dedicated universal T8 wrench key
- Mandrel is extended form the chuck, providing better access.
- The shaft is sized 3.2 mm for dremel type chucks. Most are 3 mm and don’t fit unless the correct sized insert is used.
- The mandrel can also be used for diamond discs, cutting discs and polishing mops
