Diamond Disc and Backing Pad Drill Sharpening Kit

Sharp Drills are absolutely fundamental and nothing comes close to high speed diamond for sharpening. To ease this I manufactured a bespoke 1/8 inch 3.2 mm adapter to fit a dremel drill or similar to enable workshop or portable sharpening and dressing of all small drills, from 1mm to 8mm HSS, Cobalt and even tungsten carbide, using inexpensive 25mm diamond cutting discs.

Produces a polished edge which is ideal for hard metals. The aluminium backing pad acts as a rigid support and a balancing aid for a diamond cutting disc. This is joined to a high quality Dremel 402 mandrel shaft to prevent any vibration or flexing. The backing pad makes the cutting edge of the disc safe. The screw size is M3.

Supplied with one long lasting diamond disc.

We can also supply a comprehensive PDF on how to sharpen twist drills using the 4 facet method. Once mastered this is easier than the traditional methods and with the disc and adaptor produces razor sharp drills. 

Note: Never use cheap mandrels as the screw thread can strip and come loose and the shaft can bend.
