Description
Anglian Window bolts tend to corrode at the pin end leaving streaks down the window and eventually jamming preventing closure. This can also damage the plastic end caps.
The pins are zinc plated steel which wears off causing corrosion to set in, especially in a costal salt water environment. This is a big drawback to an otherwise high quality window product.
The pins are an unusual 7 mm diameter and M8 threaded. The original pin and thread is made by a mechanical roll threading process.
I can custom produce direct replacement threaded window bolts for Anglian Windows. (using machining)
- Pins are fabricated in corrosion resistant stainless steel 316, the M8 threaded part is also stainless steel.
- They are supplied in pairs.
- Please forward details of your replacements if different from the listings. i.e. total length, and quantities. There are two lock sizes, this affects the pin length. see chart.

- Open window and place the handle into the locked position exposing the locking pins either side
- The plastic protective covers must be removed, by unscrewing the securing screw and prising off the plastic covers.
- Remove the locking pin by unscrewing, The recommended tool is a set of long nose locking pliers.
