Rotating knobs fitted onto Chinese machines are of poor quality and have a tendency to wear internally causing ovalling due to the poor finish and the softness of the materials used.
Replacement Bakelite versions are sticky in operation and suffer from corrosion which exasperates the problem.

Full Bearings – rotating knobs with small high quality internal bearings, are the ultimate solution and provide a smooth low friction operation. A range of sizes Short type from 30 mm if the interest is there I will provide more options. These are expensive due to the cost of bearings and the precise machining required. The bearings must be of the highest branded quality, Chinese bearings are totally unsuitable. Installed via a allen key.
