Extra long Plastic stand off / spacers for multiple uses 20 & 25 mm diameter
Increasing the height of plastic spacers for various installation work would require ridiculously long and expensive screws . I can now offer a long spacer 20 mm diameter with a through hole to accommodate and push through normal sized screws. Provides support for waste pipework clips. etc…
The spacer is internally tapped M12 to provide clearance. Once installed a threaded reducer is then screwed in providing a thread more appropriate for securing tasks i.e. M5, M6 or M8.(Truss head screws for M8 are not supplied, not available)
• One size screw only required, avoids extra long screws which are expensive and difficult to gauge the length.
• One tool installation – Cross head screwdriver
• Central through hole to insert normal size supplied screws
• Reducer M12 to M6 to facilitate Truss head Machine Screws.
• Presently In White, Black,(Acetal) Dark Grey (PVC) & Red (Polyester)
• Diameter presently 20 & 25 mm will provide more options if demand increases.
• Three options of internal reducer thread M5, M6 or M8.
Please be aware: these are custom made to order and are non returnable, please ensure they are the correct Colour, Height, Diameter and insert size for your requirements.
Contents: one spacer, Stainless screw, Wall Plug, reducer M12 to M5, M6 and Truss head screw. Truss head screws for M8 are not available
How to install
- Drill and Insert wall plug as appropriate.
- Insert the screw through the support spacer and secure to the wall, ceiling, joist etc
- Insert and screw in the M12 to M5, M6 or M8. reducer using a supplied machine screw
- Remove the screw leaving the reducer in place, the bracket etc.. can now be attached using appropriate machine screws
- If the spacer requires removal, use the cross head screwdriver to remove first the the reducer, which will need pushing in to engage.
